Since 2010, Your Shot has been giving Australians with a passion for dance music the chance to make it as a DJ. The annual competition – which has helped locals like Tigerlily and J-Trick get their start – is back once more for 2014, and

you can register now to be involved.

So how’s it all work? Your Shot will pick 76 applicants from each state and put them through six full weeks of DJ training – they’ll teach you everything you need to know, which means you’d don’t need any DJing experience to enter. Once the entrants are armed with the skills they need, they’ll battle it out at two-day state competitions in the hopes of being crowned Your Shot champion.

And there’s a swag of prizes to go along with the glory: the winner will be set up with flights and accommodation so they can play an international DJ set at Austria’s Snowbombing, BPM in Mexico or Sound LA in the US. They’ll get a mentoring session with Tiesto, national DJ sets at Stereosonic 2014, a Pioneer Pro DJ Set up, A SOL Republic prize pack, a one year supply of Red Bull and so much more…the list goes on
